For the second year in a row, Medulance has been appointed the emergency services partner of the Delhi Capitals.

The Delhi Capitals of the Indian Premier League 2024 have announced Medulance as its official emergency services partner for the second year in a row.

The cooperation began at Delhi Capital’s original home field in Vizag, where Medulance ensured the safety and well-being of players and supporting personnel by offering extensive medical care on practice and match days.

The Delhi Capitals took on the Chennai Super Kings on March 31 and the Kolkata Knight Riders on April 3 in their first two games in Vizag. After that, on match days for the DC home games in Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, on April 20, 24, and 27, as well as May 7 and 14, Medulance will continue to provide support.

Medulance deployed a team of 60 well-trained doctors, nurses, and paramedics to provide on-ground medical support across crucial areas of the stadium, including the Field of Play areas, Player Medical Room, two Spectator Medical Rooms, and 7 First Aid Points set up throughout the venue. Additionally, they have deployed 3 Advanced Life Support ambulances alongside 3 Basic Life Support ambulances guaranteeing a prompt response to any emergencies that may occur, ensuring the safety of players, on-ground teams, and over 40,000 spectators per match.

Sunil Gupta, CEO of the Delhi Capitals, reflected on the collaboration and thanked Medulance for its commitment to provide emergency medical assistance. “We want both players and spectators to have a safe and pleasurable experience, and Medulance’s ground support has been vital in that regard. It has always been crucial for all parties participating in a major event like the Indian Premier League to be safe and healthy, and we think Medulance’s experience has us covered there. We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with them for one more season.”

In the past, Medulance has assisted with emergency situations during the Indian Premier League and other athletic events, including the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. With an average reaction time of just two minutes, Medulance saved the day by promptly responding to situations ranging from fall injuries to strokes, heart attacks, and other dangerous medical issues.

Both fans and officials, such as Himachal Pradesh’s chief minister Arun Singh Dhumal, the union minister for youth affairs and sports Anurag Singh Thakur, and the secretary of the BCCI Jay Shah, have praised Medulance’s services.

In addition to its partnership with the Delhi Capitals, Medulance has guaranteed the safety of over 80 lakh spectators at numerous sporting events, such as the MotoGP Bharat, Pro Panja League, Pro Kabaddi League, ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, Uttar Pradesh T20 League, and the nation’s premier food carnival, Zomaland festival PAN India.
